After the inspectors of the European Union, the inspection of the US Department of Agriculture has also confirmed that Danica applies the highest world standards in processing meat products.

Two years before the deadline, Podravka's Vegeta factory in Mohács has received certification from the Veterinary Inspection and Control of Food of the Baranja County in Pécs on the successful implementation of the HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) System.

On 22nd November 2000, Marco Bonati, international business executive director of Barilla and Davorin Gojković, director of Podravka in Poland, will sign a cooperation agreement which will make Podravka Polska Sp.z.o.o. exclusive distributor for the products of the Italian company Barilla.

The "Podravka" plant for the production of "Vegeta" soups and other powdered goods, built in the Polish town of Kostrzyn, will be officially opened on Saturday, 28th October 2000.

Some 20 chefs from all over Croatia, winners of the game "Brighten up your dishes with new flavours" organised by the "Podravka" Gastronomic Team, began their visit on 13th October by learning about the basic business activities of the "Podravka" company and with a tour of the "Danica" complex and the new "Vegeta" plant.
