The seventh tranche of commercial papers in the amount of HRK 52 million was issued yesterday by Podravka, over a 182-day period and with a nominal yield of 4.45%. During the previous year-long programme for the issuing of commercial papers, Podravka successfully put up for sale six tranches of commercial papers in the total amount of HRK 240 million, while the current value of commercial papers in circulation amounts to HRK 130 million.

On 9 April 2003, the foundation "Zaklada 2020" presented the project of drawing up a scenario of development for Croatia under the title "Croatia's Creatia 2010". Mr Petar Turković, leader of the project, presented both the foundation and the scenario.

A contract was signed in Koprivnica on long-term cooperation in applying SAP technologies between Podravka d.d. and b4b d.o.o. The contract was signed by Darko Marinac, President of the Management Board of Podravka d.d. and Mato Ćatić, CEO of b4b d.o.o. The signing of this contract marks a new phase in cooperation between Podravka and b4b.

A contract on the establishment of Podravka's Management Academy was signed at the Faculty of Economics in Zagreb between Podravka d.d. and the Faculty of Economics. The establishment of this Academy is another step towards developing the management knowledge and skills of the staff of Podravka, which will allow for the more successful achievement of the company's business goals.

Podravka and the town of Umag will co-operate in finding the most favourable solution for relocating the Povrće factory which has been operating in this town since 1969.

Podravka Food Industry d.d. and Unilever, Croatia, signed a contract on the distribution of ice cream over the entire territory of Croatia. According to this contract, the already existing co-operation between Podravka's Ital Ice d.o.o. and Unilever/Eskimo has been extended from the area of the Istria and Kvarner region to the rest of Croatia.

The first certification of two Podravka Internationals was successfully completed last week. The agent responsible for the project was KF Quality Management together with the management of the respective International.

Podravka has issued the fourth tranche of commercial papers to the amount of 20 million kuna. The nominal yield amounts to 2.85%, which is the cheapest form of kuna financing in Croatia. The tranche falls due on 06 March 2003.
