The revenue realised by the Podravka Group in the period from January to September 2003 amounts to HRK 2,492.4 million, which is 23% more than in the same period of 2002. In this period, the Podravka Group generated net profit to the amount of HRK 24 million, which is HRK 53 million more than in the first six months of the year.

Some 20 organisers of vegetable production from all parts of Croatia attended the presentation, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, and of the County of Koprivnica-Križevci and the town of Koprivnica. Through this presentation, Podravka seeks to help its subcontractors in modernising primary production and improving yields.

Podravka formally opened the new Podravka food factory. The opening of the new factory was attended by high state officials, and the factory was officially opened by Zlatko Tomčić, President of the Croatian Parliament. The new factory has been established as an annex to the industrial complex which covers an area of 17,699 square meters. It has been built next to the Vegeta factory.

At a meeting held on 28 August 2003, the Supervisory Board of Podravka approved the business results of the Podravka Group for the first six months of 2003. The revenue realised by the Podravka Group in the above period amounts to HRK 1,601.1 million, which is HRK 279 million, or 21%, up on the same period in 2002.

In July, Podravka initiated the Vegeta Mediteraneo campaign primarily aimed at tourists from Central European countries, such as the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, and Poland. Hoardings similar to those they see at home will welcome tourists arriving from these countries, and samples of Vegeta will be distributed together with promotional leaflets.

After 5 years since the equity investment of the ''European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in Podravka d.d. the two institutions are pleased to observe that the majority of the objectives underlying the EBRD's investment has been fulfilled. Consequently Podravka and EBRD agreed to bring to a conclusion the EBRD's investment through purchase of the EBRD preference shares which are expected to be withdrawn in order to eliminate existence of two different classes of shares.

The signed Agreement is yet another in a series of projects of successful cooperation between Podravka and Agrokor. It enables a speedier, more fluent and simpler flow of information between these two companies. Following global trends in the application of state-of-the-art technologies, Agrokor and Podravka have taken a significant step forward in introducing e-business, thus promoting their business systems.

Adria d.d., a joint stock company engaged in fishing, and the processing and trading of fish, signed an agreement with Podravka in Zagreb on 2 June 2003. In this way Podravka has become the distributor of Adria's tinned fish products. The agreement was signed by Milivoj Jošić, President of the Adria d.d. Management Board and Darko Marinac, President of the Podravka d.d. Management Board.
