Successfully implemented „SHAPE“ – Podravka’s Employment Program for Trainees

Podravka has successfully completed „SHAPE”,
the first selection process of employing highly educated trainees. Nowdays
unemployment is a serious problem which affects especially young people and
their employment is one of the priorities in economic strategies, not only in
Croatia but also all around the world. About 800 candidates from all over  Croatia applied for „SHAPE” program. Starting
with next month Podravka will employ 28 trainees  of various professional references and
profiles, including economists, food technologists, engineers, electro
technicians, journalists, graphic technicians and lawyers.

The trainees are young people from all
parts of Croatia. All of them will have the opportunity to build their own
careers using their own efforts at one of the leading companies in the country,
and together with experienced collegues contribute creating and shaping
Podravka’s future.

“We are very satisfied with the
response to the „SHAPE” program and especially the quality of candidates who
have expressed their interest in a career at Podravka. All candidates who have shown
excellence in their education so far had a chance to apply for the contest and
all of them had an eqal chance to succeed. Human Resources experts recommended
the candidates based on the objectively measurable indicators. Directors of
departments, who themselves select and choose their associates, brought the
final decision on who their new apprentieces will be. It is important to
emphasize that in this way we have enhanced  database of our company with over 150 young
people who entered the final round and we will definitely contact you in case
of new employment in the near future”, explains the director of Human Resources
Jasenka Maltarić Dujnić.
