Food and Pharmaceuticals drive Podravka Group’s growth in the first nine months of 2026

In the period from January to September 2026, the Podravka Group maintained revenue growth and high profitability, generating operating revenues of EUR 787.7 million, representing an increase of EUR 5.5 million compared to the comparable period of the previous year. Normalised EBITDA amounted to EUR 129.9 million, while normalised net profit amounted to EUR 57.6 million.

The results achieved in the first nine months confirm that the Podravka Group continues to maintain stable operations, growth in total revenues and a high level of normalised profitability, even in a challenging business environment. The Food and Pharmaceuticals segments made a particular contribution to the strong results, while the Agriculture segment was affected by adverse market and climatic conditions.

“The Podravka Group continued to deliver stable results, maintaining revenue growth and high profitability. The results of the Food and Pharmaceuticals segments further confirm the strength of our brands, the quality of our products and the trust of consumers in the markets in which we operate. At the same time, our Agriculture operations faced challenging circumstances characterised by lower market prices and adverse weather conditions. Nevertheless, by improving processes and increasing operational efficiency, we mitigated their impact and continued to invest in the further development of our business,” said Martina Dalić, President of the Management Board of Podravka.

The Food segment generated revenues of EUR 449.1 million, while revenues from sales of own brands reached EUR 408.1 million, which is an increase of 1.5% compared to the same period last year. Growth in own brands was led by the Bakery business programme and the Cream Spreads and Confectionery sub-category, with Lino Lada standing out for its strong growth in international markets, including Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic.

The Pharmaceuticals segment generated revenues of EUR 140.8 million, representing growth of 8.8% compared to the same period last year. Growth was recorded across all categories, with the Non-prescription (OTC) programme standing out in particular, with revenue growth of 19.2%, to EUR 22.5 million.

The Agriculture segment generated revenues of EUR 204.3 million, a decrease of 1.8% compared to the same period last year. The result was primarily affected by a decline in market prices for pigs, fattening cattle and raw milk, as well as adverse climatic conditions and drought, which reduced the yields of certain arable crops. The negative impact of external factors was partially mitigated by increased operational efficiency and improvements to production processes.

Despite the challenging conditions, very good results were achieved in certain areas of agricultural production, including Podravka achieving self-sufficiency in pepper production for the first time, as well as very good wheat and barley yields.
